S3E5 Southern Utah – St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site
On this episode, Greg visits the St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site at Johnson Farm, in St. George, Utah. He’ll meet up with two paleontologist, Dr. Jerry D. Harris, Director of Paleontology at Utah Tech University & Site Consultant, and Andrew Milner, Curator & Site Paleontologist. From there on it’s a treasure trove of fun and interesting information about #dinosaurs. We’ll learn about trace fossils and body fossil. We’ll see swim tracks and traces of a sitting dinosaur that have helped shaped the views of what is known about certain activities of dinsoaurs. Their published studies have gained worldwide attention and drawn a lot of interest to this site. Jerry and Andrew will also give us a tour of thier lab. They’ll show us skulls fossils, fish fossils, and a jacketed collection of #Pravusuchus #fossils. We’ll get a close look at a real jacketed speciman. They will also explain to us the process of handling and prepping these fragile fossils for study. This episode is chocked full of fun graphics of dinosaurs and images of fossils.
